Monday, August 06, 2007 MN or bust!Hi there! This was quite the week! We got a call telling us Dan's dear grandmother passed away. She was 94 years old and a special lady! We hopped on a plane and headed to MN.Our first stop was to the Mall of America to visit some friends of ours. We shopped a little bit and then went out to dinner. It was so fun to see Dan and Val again! The next day we headed to our home town and attended the wake that evening. Saturday we went to the funeral. Dan's brother Jeff couldn't go, he was a little preoccupied with getting his appendix out at the time! After the funeral, it was a like a big family reunion! We got to see many of Dan's relatives who we haven't seen for YEARS! Brady LOVED hanging out on the farm. Forget expensive vacations, Brady would be just as thrilled to spend time on the farm driving tractors and 4-wheelers! LOL Uncle Chad showed him the ropes of living on a farm. We went back up to the cities, and had a little trouble getting on flights due to the pilots havoc strike at NWA. Finally we got out of Dodge via Denver. I dropped off there to attend the Stampin' Up! convention, and the rest of the family got home about 1am via Las Vegas! The next day is when the bridge collapsed in MN. Our prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones, or were injured. That is hitting close to home, we were just there the day before. HOME SWEET HOME, we always say that when we finally get home.
